Communication is the Key to Success in Education

Communication is a key factor in success that can be a common factor when students achieve or struggle. The different forms of communication allow parents to be more involved and stay up to date with how everything is going. At AVHS, we use several forms of communication that help communicate effectively to parents and allow me to represent and do my job very well.  Some of the key components of communication is through email, eNewsletters, reminds, blogs, Google Sites, and the "Q" which is our grading system.
As a future administrator, I feel communication is the key to building relationships and developing a positive culture on campus. By developing relationships and understandings that students goals can be very achievable and attainable. As an administrator I want to guide students through the communication process of allowing them to achieve their goals. Contributions can be something as simple as recommendations on classes or giving advice about life.  Either way communication
through technology is one of the key factors for students in today's 21 st century learning. How we utilize it can be the successful steps towards the future goals of what we want to achieve.

GIVING TO THE STAFF FOR THE VISION AND RETURNS

As a future leader, I know to get great return you must reward and give out for solid efforts. The transformational process is what I want to process as a future leader.  I want my staff, students, and community to know that hard work pays dividends towards goals and academic success. By setting the bar high and putting into the academic piece the rewards can be endless. Communication plays another big piece in the rewards and returns. My plan is utilize the communication to the community through the marquee and billboards on campus.  I also intend on using eNewsletter to let them be aware of all the activities, events, and rallies going on our campus. Amador Valley Television(AVTV) will be used twice a week to get all the messages out to the students. The reward system for the students will have their name on the marquee for all students, staff, and community to be aware. Also, teacher of the month will be given the same opportunity. I would like to promote some "Shout Outs" weekly for all the kindness within the staff and promote that as well. Positive reinforcement always will go along way in education.

Community Partnerships are developments in education that can really help students succeed and develop. I plan on being the one of the future administrators to help within this area. Developing partnerships for students can benefit them in mental health, physical health, and academics in areas of Math, Science, History, and English.  These partnerships will take place under my watch to establish better relationships within the community and help benefit students academically. My job will be to create a relationship by meeting with a wide variety of places for partnerships to help establish a rapport between our students and the community outreach programs for all the students to be successful.  In my first year of becoming an administrator, I plan on making at least six new partnerships that could help benefit the students at AVHS.  My focus will be academics and overall health.  I want students to engage in learning but be physically healthy to have the mindset to want to succeed.  By establishing these partnerships, I honestly feel that these partnerships can really be beneficial for students who want to take the opportunity of the business and contribute to their life long learning endeavors.

Plans for School Improvement can Lead to More Academic Success!

Academic Learning can take a mountain of effort by administrators, staff, students, and on the parents end. Developing Growth Plans will be a part of the job for contributing to academic success. As a future administrator, I am planning on implementing more plans, researching data, and summarizing the data so the plans can go into action.  Following through with these plans will take some time but the time will be highly beneficial to all the students that are involved. By developing the School Growth Plans then these one year action plans help with the academic achievement that can contribute to support learning and improving in areas of learning which need focus for academic skills. Guiding these plans once they are board approved will help implement areas that most school sites need for improvement.  I look forward to implementing these plans for the students.

Leadership Qualities for Improvement: As a future leader, I try to always gather my data so I can make decisive decisions that will help improve my team.  These decisions are always researched and feedback is always collected before any decision is finalized.  Making relationships with my staff and students are high on the priority list to establish better connections. Also, making academics a high priority and sharing my vision to my staff are viewed for higher achieving levels.  Teamwork is important when the vision needs to shared, community outreach needs to be done, and academic achievement needs to be accomplished. Always working together and establishing a great team makes for a great school year and academic learning.
Setting goals in a great venue to establish academic achievement can be achieved when the staff gets a long and sets to achieve the same goals.  Working collaboratively with the staff will bring up great ideas, establishing relationships among staff, and setting high standards for core curriculum. Teamwork can be defined as hard work, efficient work, and timely work to achieve the full success for academics.  As a team, we need to establish our community base learning in order to use all of our resources to provide the highest achievement, outcomes, and goals. Let us work together, collaboratively, and communicatively. Remember, it is our mission, vision, and our goals that we can achieve together.

Amador Valley's Growth Team

This growth plan is designed to share a plan that was developed to help my school site achieve more on the academic standards for core curriculum. All you have to do is click on the above link to visually see the plan in action. This is a collaborative plan that was developed to help my students with academic success.  The areas of needs were; additional tutoring, literacy programs, and adding additional CTE courses for some of our hands on learning students.  All this information was provided by my School Growth Team to establish a better standard for those students who are struggling academically. My leadership guided to a collaborative decision which implemented student literacy, mandating Access period tutoring, and getting additional help after school. All of these areas are a start for improved student achievement and better outcomes. I look forward to making future improvements.

 Aspiring Leadership Skills

Aspiring Leadership can really benefit schools, curriculum, and staff members who enjoy quality leadership.  The picture to your right are my best qualities as a leader.  If you click on the link you can see additional questions to what aspiring leaders are asked.  I have enclosed my best features to the right to demonstrate how productive I can be as a potential leader. There are six steps categories for leadership. Some of these categories include; Visionary, Instructional, Organizational, Community, School Improvement, and Professional Leadership Skills.  What are your best qualities as a future leader?

Data Analysis Paper
Data, Data, Data, this is what helps a school achieve academic progress and future achievements. I wrote a pretty good paper on the data analysis of Amador Valley High School and the areas of improvement for this school. By clicking on the Data Analysis Paper headline then you can view my entire paper. As a leader, I want to improve academic achievement, help those subgroups that are struggling, and gain more experience to be a future leader.  This data that I represented is to help staff, students, parents, and the community.  As a team we achieve when everyone is successful!
